Aesthetic and functional correction of the vagina, pubic area and vaginal lip disorders in women constitutes the field of aesthetic surgery. It includes reduction of the inner labia of the vagina, restoration and reduction of the outer labia, fat injection, vaginal tightening or hymen stitching.
Vaginal tightening operations usually cause enlargement of the vaginal wall due to uncontrolled episiotomy incisions, multiple births, aging and structural features of women who give birth. Such disorders do not look aesthetic and may cause problems in sexual intercourse.
The shape, color and size of the labia minora varies according to race and age. The labia minora are usually not symmetrical as one is either larger or longer than the other. These can be congenital or may develop later. Excessive parts of the labia minora can cause sweating, which can cause a bad odor. Excess inner lips that are aesthetically bad or cause pain during sexual intercourse can be removed.
Classification of inner lip width (Talita Franco classification)
Type I: Less than 2 cm
Type II: 2 cm to 4 cm
Type III: 4 cm to 6 cm
Type IV: greater than 6 cm

Inner and outer lip operations do not damage the hymen. It does not prevent pregnancy, sexual intercourse and orgasm.
Aspirin and derivative medications are discontinued one week before the operation (do not discontinue your regular medication without consulting your doctor)
It is recommended not to smoke for a period of time before and after the operation.
On the day of the operation, wear comfortable clothes to the hospital and leave your jewelry at home.
You should be at the hospital about one hour before the operation.
When you arrive at your reserved room, you will be given an oral medicine if you wish, which will relax you.
For labial lip size; the labia minora are reduced using an S incision to prevent linear contracture.
For external lip size; an S incision and/or fusiform tissue removal is performed.
For pubis (groin) size; Pubis lifting or tissue removal is performed.
For small inner lip or outer lip; These deformities are seen less frequently. Fat injection applications are performed. Additional fat injection application can be added after 6 months. Most of the patients stated that sexual intercourse was both easier and more enjoyable when fat injection was performed.
Vaginal tightening; A piece is removed from the back wall of the vagina. Since absorbable sutures are used, there is no need for stitches.
Aesthetic vagina operation is usually performed under local anesthesia and sedation.
Vaginal tightening is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia.
