Piezzo (Ultrasonic) Rhinoplasty
The use of ultrasonic waves in rhinoplasty was first applied in oral and dental health surgeries. In this technique, the nasal bone is shaped without breaking with the vibration created by sound waves. Since it does not damage soft tissues, there is no risk of wound and bleeding during the operation. In addition, since there is no soft tissue damage, the risk of bruising and edema is significantly reduced. These features make the patient’s recovery process fast and effortless.
Piezzo (ultrasonic) rhinoplasty minimizes the risk of damage to soft tissues, nerves, vessels and mucosa during rhinoplasty. With this device, minimal cuts can be made and mucosal damage is kept under control. The main advantage of Piezzo is that it allows the surgeon to work more precisely and perform faster procedures. The device allows for easy adjustments with its touch screen and multifunctional foot pedal. The ultrasonic power generators, electronic module, handpiece and tips provide flexibility to the surgeon, while the patient’s recovery time is faster and less damaging.
Micromotor Rhinoplasty
Micromotor rhinoplasty is a technique that allows rhinoplasty without breaking. In this method, deformities in the nasal bone are precisely intervened with fine tips (approximately 2 mm) connected to the micromotor device.
In traditional methods, problems such as the arch, width and size of the nasal bone were intervened with chisels and hammers. However, the use of rasp also limited the surgeon’s precision. In the micromotor technique, on the other hand, the procedure is performed without applying any force to the nasal bone thanks to the fine tips. This allows millimetric corrections to be made on the nasal bone.
Thanks to the precision-tipped instruments, there is no soft tissue damage during the procedure. This reduces the risk of bleeding and edema. Therefore, the healing process is more comfortable and faster.
Piezzo (ultrasonic) rhinoplasty with micromotor rhinoplasty offers the opportunity to intervene in bone disorders in the nose without any breaking process. The millimeter precision in this technique allows rhinoplasty operations to be completed more accurately. While the procedure time is shortened for surgeons, a faster healing process is provided for patients without bruising and edema.
