Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to increase the size, shape and fullness of a woman’s breasts. It is one of the most common aesthetic operations in the world and is usually performed using silicone implants. This operation, which has a high success rate, is an effective solution that increases self-confidence. Pre-Operation Interview

During the consultation, your current complaints and your expectations after the operation are evaluated. Factors such as the size and shape of your breasts, the condition of your skin, your age and the new location of the nipple are discussed with you in detail. You will also be informed about the details of the operation.
Once you have decided on the operation, my assistant will plan a suitable operation date for you.

Operation Age

In general, surgery is recommended after the age of 18. However, in special cases such as Poland syndrome or virginal hypertrophy, the age limit of 18 years may not be expected.

Preparation for Operation Time

Patients under 40 years of age will require breast ultrasonography and patients over 40 will require mammography. You will need a companion to help you on the day of the operation.
Aspirin and derivative drugs should be discontinued one week before the operation. (Do not discontinue your regular medication without consulting your doctor.)
Smoking is banned for a period before and after the operation.
When coming to the hospital on the day of the operation, try not to wear make-up, hair gel, wear comfortable clothes and leave your jewelry at home.
Nothing should be eaten or drunk 6 hours before the operation.
You should be at the hospital about one hour before the operation.
When you arrive at your reserved room, if you wish, you will be given an oral medication which will relax you.

Operation Technique

Asymmetric breast operations vary according to the structure, size and shape of the breast:

If it is saggy compared to the other breast; breast lift operation,
If it is small compared to the other breast; silicone breast prosthesis application or augmentation operation with fat injection,
If it is larger than the other breast; breast reduction operation,
If it is asymmetrical compared to the other nipple; the nipple is brought to its normal position,
In gynecomastia patients; liposuction or reduction operation is applied.

Anesthesia Type

It is applied with local or general anesthesia depending on the procedure to be performed.

Operation Duration

Depending on the procedure, it may take between 30 minutes and 2 hours.

Recovery Process

Depending on the operation performed, patients do not need to stay in the hospital or it is sufficient to stay in the hospital for one day. A comfortable recovery period is generally expected after the operation. If breast prosthesis was used, arm movements may be restricted for a few days. The dressing is opened and checked after 2 days. After 7 days, the dressings are opened. The patient wears a sports bra for 6 weeks (except for gynecomastia patients). In the early period, there may be swelling, numbness in the nipple and pink discoloration on the skin. These conditions disappear spontaneously in a short time. Depending on your job, you can return to your normal work in 3-4 days. For 3 months, it is recommended to avoid heavy sports. Aesthetic breast operations are procedures that increase self-confidence, improve mental health and provide long-term permanent results.
